    Truth and the Consequences

John 18:37  Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered,

Thou says that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause

came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every

one that is of the truth hears my voice.

18:38 Pilate said unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went

out again unto the Jews, and said unto them, I find in him no fault at all.

19:6  When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out,

saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate said unto them, Take him, and

crucify him: for I find no fault in him.

19:7 The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die,

because He made himself the Son of God.

Actually our Almighty Father and Shekina, the Holy Spirit made Him the Son of God.

What is the truth, it is something that is rarely heard, especially from our leaders, political

or religious. The truth is what is what they think is in their best interest. The truth is the light

and a lie or ignorance is darkness. Most people say they are honest, but honesty many

times has a price, and is not always convenient. Like if it gets in the way of something you

want, like a job or a position of  authority, maybe something of your neighbor's, like

their spouse, home or material good or an animal. To get or keep friends, your very life

may depend upon you abandoning the truth.

I have not always told the truth, and even harder is wanting to know the truth. The truth will

set you free, from what, free from the comfort of ignorance, of doing nothing. Also it can

free you from sin, but that means you have to make a CHANGE, now there is a word

no one likes to hear and it is something they like even less, if it means making a change

in their own life. I am speaking from experience, it is not easy to change, it is much

easier to rationalize your way out of really doing anything. Truly, this is the greatest and

hardest lie to overcome. You see, you didn't rationalize away the problem, oh no, you

lied to yourself and you believed it, and acted according.

Woe unto those who call evil good and good evil, to promote their agenda, and to those

of you who blindly follow because it is what you perceive to be the best and easiest thing for

you to do. For if you follow the path of least resistance, it is unlikely that you arte on the right

path. Why, look down at your feet, you will probably see a little cross following you around,

your cross is not heavier than you can carry. We may not want to carry it, because it will be

uncomfortable, that is why it is called a cross.

Matthew  26:39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying,

O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me:

nevertheless not as I will, but as thou will.
